Wilson is here!

Clifford Wilson Wood is finally here!!! Wilson is so sweet and perfect! He weighed 8 lbs and was 19.5 inches long. He was born at 12:12 pm and he came pretty quick.  Ruby and Seth love him! I hope Wilson survives all of the love that he is going to get from them.  We are so grateful that he got here safely and that he is a part of our family.  Crazy to think that we have 3 kids :)

Wilson's Birth Story:
We were scheduled to go into the hospital at 7, so I was up at 5:20 getting ready.  I couldn't sleep, I was so excited!  When we called at 6:30 to make sure it was ok to come, they told us to wait until 8 cause some ladies had come in last night. I was so anxious to have Wilson here.  They called me again and told me to be there at 8:45 instead.  So we headed to the hospital and they got me all hooked up.  At 9, the nurse got my IV in, on the 1st time!  With both Ruby and Seth, it took 7 tries!!! They started the pitocin at 9:40 and asked me what level I wanted my pain to get too.  I said maybe a 2 or 3, or they could just get me the epidural now if they wanted :) So at 10, I got my epidural. Dr. Merrill came and broke my water at 10:55.  At this point I was a 4 and 80% effaced.  The epidural was only working on 1 side so I pushed the button for more, but it wasn't doing anything. They decided to check me to see if I was moving fast and that was why I was still feeling contractions.  So at 11:30, the nurse checked me and I was now a 7 and 100% effaced.  They had the anethesiologist come in and give me another dose of the epidural.  So 1 leg was completely dead and the other was just right.  At 11:45, the nurse said that she would come and check me again at noon, but to let her know if I was feeling any pressure.  After about 5 minutes of waiting, I called the nurse cause I thought I might be feeling something.  And sure enough, Wilson's head was there!  So at 11:50, they called Dr. Merrill and told him to hurry over.  Well before they had checked me, we were all taking guesses of what time Wilson would come.  My mom guessed 12:10, I guessed 12:15 and my dad guessed 12:30.  Dr. Merrill got there at noon, and started to get everything ready.  I gave 3 small pushes and he was here!  He came at 12:12, right between my mom's time and mine :) We are so glad he's here and that he is a part of our family!!!
