New School Year

It's official! A new school year has started. We started on Monday, August 18th. I have 21 students this year and that is a perfect size. Last year I had 25 students and it just seemed like whenever I would turn my back, I would have 3 kids getting into trouble. With 21, I feel like I am able to see and hear them all! Thank goodness that the first week is over now. My first graders were so tired by today and they all had blank stares. I am tired too, but it is also great to be back. I didn't realize how much I missed my kids until school started. I love my job and I am glad that I get to teach sweet little children every day!

Oregon

We went to Oregon for a family vacation and it was so fun!!! Every other year, my family goes on a big vacation together. We went for six days and Oregon was beautiful. As you can see from the picture, we had to wear sweatshirts a lot of the time cause it was colder than we were used too. I went down on Monday with my family and then Will flew down Wednesday night. I was so glad when he finally got there. I missed him so much, but he couldn't take that much work off because he had to have a school finished by August 18th. Abe went and stayed at Will's parents and he didn't even realize that we were gone.

It was really fun when we left because it was Terah's kids first time flying. Brooklyn rode by me and she was kind of nervous at first. As soon as we were ready to take off, she opened the window and she was so brave. She just laughed and kept watching out the window. She also kept wondering why we couldn't find their house. It was really fun and it was ten times better than having to drive it.
We went to so many fun places and like I said, it was BEAUTIFUL! We fed the seals, we saw a Sea Lion (see Chad and Amanda's blog to meet Eddie), we saw a whale, we played at the beach and we had a campfire on the beach. All in all, it was a relaxed vacation but we saw a ton. Here are some more pictures from our trip. Enjoy!

Aubree's Graduation

I can't believe it but my little sister is old enough to be graduated. I know that this post is a little late, but I completely forgot to put it on. She wore bright yellow shoes with her dress and that was the only way that we could find her. She looked so cute and it was a big day for her. Aubree is getting so old!!! She is going to SUU next year and she will be on their drill team. I am so proud of her and I love her so much.
