January

Well January is always a long and hard month.  The holidays are over, I have to go back to school, it is freezing cold, it snows and I have to drive in it ( I HATE driving in the snow), etc :( The list could go on and on... Luckily the month is already half over and February will be here soon and then onto warm weather after that! A few things that have happened this month so far: my great-nephew was blessed, Ruby chopped off 6 inches of her hair, exhausted kids from getting back onto mommy's work schedule, and getting some sunglasses :) Happy January everyone!!!

New Year's Eve

We have had a great 2013! Both me and Will have great jobs.  We had Wilson this year! Ruby turned 4 and Seth turned 2. We were able to do tons of fun things during my maternity break and Summer. We went on a "staycation." And we have great family and friends that we love dearly!

Ruby was so confused about why we had to wait until midnight for the new year to come and why we were having a party. So Will tried to explain to Ruby what a new year meant and then how the year had to do with when Jesus was born and how she would turn 5 this year.... and I could just see the confused look on Ruby's face. I had to remind him that she is only 4 :) And now she was even more confused than she was before! We went up to Nick and Natalee's for our New Year's Eve party. We had dinner, visited while the kids played, played some games, Will fell asleep about 10 ;), and then we brought in the new year with some loud horns and screaming children.  And then the meltdowns came :)  Happy New Year and hopefully 2014 will be even better than 2013!

Christmas Day with our Wood Family

We go to Will's family on Christmas day in the afternoon.  We have been really lucky that both of our families choose to do their Christmas traditions on different days.  It actually makes it a nice holiday for us and not one where we are running around like crazy people! We had lunch and then we exchanged presents with each other.  Then we went to see the grandparents before heading home.

Christmas Day

Santa definitely came to our house! He left all of the toys and then he also left a note telling the kids that there was another present out in the garage.  This was Wilson's first Christmas and he could have cared less.  He did like to eat the paper :) Seth asked for dinosaurs and Ruby wanted Barbie Princesses.  They also got a big John Deere Gator (like a powerwheel).  This one is good for our kids, because it can seat 2 people up front and then there is enough room for someone to sit in the back.  So all 3 kids can use it this summer! Our kids are very lucky and we are so grateful that they were able to have a great Christmas.

We gave them beanbag chairs.  Seth is just chilling and seeing what is going on in the kitchen :)
The kids bought presents for each other this year.  Ruby gave Seth a huge Hulk guy and Wilson a Mike Wazowski  from Monster inc.  Seth gave Ruby a Monster High Doll and Wilson a ball.  Wilson gave Ruby a Cinderella purse she could color and Seth a guy and big bad wolf for his castle.
