April, Easter and Mother's Day!

Well, a lot has gone on since I updated. We'll start with Ruby! She is now 11 months. I can't believe that my baby is going to be 1 on June 11th. She is now mobile and our life will never be the same. I don't know why we thought we wanted her to move, because now she is into EVERYTHING. She does not crawl, she scoots on her bum! See the video below to see how cute it is. She won't even try laying on her stomach now. She is getting pretty fast and she can turn and go the other way without even wobbling. She has now been moved into a big car seat. It faces backwards, but she loves being able to sit up and see stuff. She still only has 2 teeth, but I think that her 2 top ones are on their way in. She loves to wave and clap. We are trying to get her to hold up 1 finger and also blow a kiss. She loves to bug Abe and wake him up when he is sleeping. She tasted dog food for the 1st time about 3 weeks ago. Then when we told her "no" she flipped out. She was throwing a fit and screaming. She does not like to be told "no!" She is going to be a fun teenager.

The Easter Bunny brought Ruby a hopping bunny, a book, and a ball. She would just laugh whenever the bunny would hop and sing. She also loved her ball. She is pretty good at catching it, but not so good at rolling it. We dyed eggs with all of my nieces and nephew. Ruby had fun but she just hung out in the highchair. My dad gave her 2 eggs and she would just clap them together so they would break. We were able to visit both of our families on Easter. We also had our annual Easter Egg Hunt at my grandparents. Ruby didn't really care about finding the eggs, but she loved to hold and throw them. She made $1.80 from all of her findings. We had a really fun Easter!

In April, we have a lot of birthdays! On the 6th, Leta turned 15. On the 9th, Nate turned 6. On the 19th, Paislee turned 4 and on the 20th Mafa turned 16. Will also ran a 1/2 marathon (13.1 miles) with Allen and Koy. He didn't even train (crazy) and he finished it in 2 hours and 10 minutes. Way to go, Love!

Me and my friend, Liz were able to go and see Daughtry in April! It was so AWESOME!!! We have been wanting to go to a concert together but she hates country and I don't really listen to anything else. But when we heard that Daughtry was coming, we got our tickets. I love going to concerts and singing at the top of my lungs! It was SO much fun!!! Thanks Liz!

We also went to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point. We went with Liz and Allen and their kids. It was so pretty and fun! I have never been, but we were able to take a lot of cute pictures of Ruby. We just sat her down right in the middle of the tulips and started clicking away. She wasn't so sure about them, but we got some really cute pictures!!!

Will and Ruby bought me some really cute black shoes for Mother's Day. I am so grateful to be a mother. I have the best daughter in the world. My day always starts out great when I get to go in and get my smiling Ruby out of her crib! She is the joy of my life (along with her dad) and I am so grateful that the Lord would trust her precious spirit to me and Will.
I want to thank my wonderful mother! She is such a good example to me. I love her with all of my heart and I am so glad that she is my mom!!! I am also grateful for my mother-in-law. She is an amazing person. I am grateful that she raised such a wonderful son and that she loves me like one of her daughters. I am so grateful to have 2 wonderful moms. I love being a mom and wife and I am so blessed!!!

March 2010

Well another month has come and gone. Can you believe that it will be April tomorrow? A lot has happened this month. I took Ruby to the Dr. on the 4th for her 9 month check up. I was worried that she might have an ear infection with her teeth that were coming in. Well, she did but at least it was only in one ear this time. She also weighed 18 lbs and 15 oz. She is getting so big! She has two teeth on the bottom and they are so cute. She also loves to clap and she can now wave. She is constantly jabbering away. She hasn't started crawling yet, but she can scoot backwards and turn in circles. She is starting to pull up on things and stand a lot. I wouldn't be surprised if she skipped crawling and went to walking, because she still does not like her tummy (she has still never rolled over). She loves to sit up and be the center of attention!

We went to the cabin with my friend Liz and her family at the beginning of March. It was beautiful weather and we had so much fun. Ruby is going to need a new snowsuit soon, because there is not stretching room for her. We also went to the cabin with Will's family this past weekend. This was probably our last snow cabin trip for this year. We love the cabin and I would like to try and go up a few times this summer.

At the beginning of March, we went down to Cedar to see Aubree dance. Me and Ruby drove down with Terah and her kids (the husbands had to work). My parents got a condo in St. George and we had so much fun. We went swimming so Ruby was able to wear one of her cute swimsuits that Grandma Bawden bought for her. She looked so cute and she actually liked it. Aubree did great and she is such and amazing dancer and and person. We love you Aubs!

As you all know, we live in the middle of nowhere. Well, one night I got a call from Will telling me that he had just hit a deer. And when I say hit, I mean HIT! It totaled his truck. We were very lucky that Will is safe and that he had Abe riding in the front with him. His truck won't even start now. So I (yes, I!) towed him into Lehi and we got a quote on the truck. Well, it will be $1100 to fix it and that is just a base quote. They couldn't get the hood up, so there might be some more damage inside. So, we towed it back home and we are deciding if it is worth the money to fix it. It has been such a great truck.
The night it happened

the deer's head swung around and hit to make this dent

The next thing that happened after the truck, was we went motorcycle shopping. I know that they are dangerous, but I have been putting Will off for 5 years and I have no more excuses. He has always wanted one, and so we went to look. He found the one he liked, so we started looking into buying it. I was still kind of dragging my feet, when they mentioned that it would get about 60 miles to the gallon (Will's vehicle now gets 12 mpg). That helped my decision! So Monday, the 22nd, Will became the proud owner of a Harley Davidson. It is a 2007 Nightster with about 13,000 miles on it. It is black with a dull orange color. He loves it and he is so excited to finally have one!

Last, but not least, I celebrated my 25th birthday yesterday! We went to Olive Garden for dinner and it was delicious. I can't believe that I am 25. Time has flown!!! Here are some random photos from March.
