Crazy Life and catching up

Well now that it is almost October, I have finally decided that I need to update my blog. I had all summer off and not once did I update. Sorry. So needless to say, this is going to be a long post with lots of pictures! To start things off, school got out on May 28th and my summer kind of began. I taught summer school for all of June, but it was only from 8:30 to 11:30 so it was easy! One of the biggest things that happened, was that my baby turned 1 on June 11th!!! Can you believe it! We had all of our family out for a party and Ruby was so cute. She sat on my lap to open presents and she did a really good job of ripping the paper off and taking things out of the bag. The hardest part for her, was that she couldn't play with everything as soon as she opened it! She also surprised me with the cake. I thought for sure that she would plow right in, but she would stick her finger in it and then lick it off. She also realized that each of the different colors of frosting had a different taste. After a few minutes, she started to take handfuls, but she still surprised me. She was so cute!!! Her babysitter, Brook, made her cake and she did such an awesome job! Thanks Brook!!! She was teething around her birthday and now she has 8 teeth. She had 4 (2 on top and 2 on bottom) come in at the same time.

Slowly tasting it!
Digging in
The day after Ruby's birthday, my sister in law, Mandy went into Labor with Emilie. Emilie Kayelyn was born around ll pm on June 12th. Ruby is one year and one day older than Emilie. They will be the best of friends. Congrats Koby and Mandy!!!

Baby Emilie

In July we went to California with my family. Me and Ruby drove down with my family cause the guys had to work. It was my parents, Aubree, Amanda and Pais, Terah and the kids and Koby, Mand and Emilie for the driving down part and then Will rode home with us. It was SOOOOO much fun. Will and my brothers, flew down a few days late cause he couldn't take the whole week off. My parents have a timeshare that they get every 2 years so that we can go on big trips together. They do the hotel and we all pay for the rest. With driving time we were gone for 10 days, but it was so fun. We stayed in Vegas on our way down and back so that we could split up the drive and the kids did great. Ruby was actually pretty good for all of the driving, especially considering that she was 13 months and all she wanted to do was move.
The 1st day we got to Cali, we went swimming and relaxed, then the next day was beach day! After that we did 2 days straight of Disneyland. It was so fun but we were exhausted by the second day. Ruby was so cute and she had so much fun. She took naps in the stroller and she liked some of the rides. She didn't like Peter Pan or any of the characters. She liked them from a distance, but then she would scream when we got close to them. She was slugging Tigger and tried to pull off Mickey's nose! Overall, she did really good.
Will flew in that night and we were SOOOO happy to see him! The next day we did another beach day. Ruby wasn't sure about the sand but she really liked the water. She just wanted to walk in it and she didn't care if it got too high on her. After a few minutes, she would play in the sand, but then she would try to scoot to the water. I am not really a fan of the ocean, because it terrifies me to not know what is underneath me! But I must say, that I was REALLY brave this time. I went out to about my waste and I jumped some waves. Yes, me! I did it!!! It was really fun, as long as I didn't think about what was in the ocean with me.
The next day we did Seaworld and it was okay! I was a little disappointed with the Shamu show. It was definitely more boring since they can't get in the water anymore. It was also really expensive! It cost more than a day at Disneyland. That night Ruby actually crawled! She was trying to get to a toy and she couldn't scoot, so she got on her knees and crawled to it. She kind of looks special when she does it, cause she moves one leg, and then kind of drags the other one around. Luckily she started walking the next day! I know, crazy huh? Crawls one day and then walks the next!
On Monday, we went to Knottsberry farm and it was pretty fun. We only stayed for about half the day, cause at this point my husband was all done with amusement parks (he even missed Disneyland and he thought he was tired, but he has never been a fan of amusement parks !). We drove back to our hotel and that is where Ruby started to walk. I was so glad that both Will and I were there! She would go back and forth between us and just giggle. It was on July 19th and she was so dang cute! She would not just walk but RUN and then lunge into our arms. Luckily the next day, she was still doing it cause all of my family missed it cause they were still at the park. After a few days of face planting it, she realized that if she slowed down, then she was a lot better and she could still keep up with the cousins! She is now really good and she runs everywhere! She used to scoot to things and then pull herself up to walk, but now she just walks and no more cute crawling. (California Pictures to come soon)
I just took her for her 15 month appointment and she weighs 22 lbs and 7 oz. She was 21 lbs at her 12 month appointment. She is in the 40% for her weight, and the 50% for her height and head. She is such a big girl now!

Our huge news this summer, is that we found out that we are having another BABY! I am due on March 2nd and we are so excited! Our kids will be 21 months apart and I think I might be crazy!!! But there is no going back now. We find out tomorrow what we are having, so watch for another post! I felt really sick about the end of July but only for about 3 weeks. I didn't ever throw up, I just felt crappy all day! I know that I am really lucky. I also "popped" a lot earlier with this baby. I felt like I was showing at 8 weeks. I am also carrying this baby a lot higher than Ruby. With Ruby I was in maternity pants by about week 8 cause I was so low, but I am just barely starting to wear maternity pants and I am almost 18 weeks. Crazy how different each baby is!
I also started school on the 25th of August. Ruby went back to her babysitter and her grandmas while I am at school. I am so grateful that she loves them all and that she is such a good little girl. Even though she never stops moving and she is into everything, she really is a doll and she is so cute! I am lucky to be her mom! Will is also working in Moab until December, so our life is crazy. I miss him and all of his help with Ruby, but a job is a job and I can do anything for 3 months (I hope)! Here are some random pictures from the last 4 months. Enjoy!
