Ruby on the big stage

Ruby LOVES the big stage!  She was in my class this time for dance and she did awesome.  I swore I would never teach her, but she just kept asking for me to be her teacher.  So I gave her a chance and she has done awesome.  Aubree is her tumbling teacher and she is becoming a good little dancer and tumbler.

Zoo Lights and Exchanging Presents

We went to the Zoo lights with Dean, Audrey and Porter.  The kids loved it and they were so excited cause the seal was swimming around like crazy.  It was cold, but the kids didn't care!

Every year we exchange presents with our friends Liz and Allen.  They were so sweet and got each of us a present.  Ruby got a princess tea set, Seth got Mickey Mouse blocks, Will got a shirt and I got the softest blanket ever!  Thanks guys!!!

Seeing Santa

We had 2 family Christmas parties before Christmas and then we have another the Sunday after.  We also went to breakfast with Santa. The 1st time Seth liked Santa, but then the 2nd time he screamed.  By the 3rd time he kind of liked him again :) Ruby LOVED him this year!!! She would run up and hug him every time.  She asked for a bracelet and a doll this year.  On the way up to the Forbush party her bracelet broke, so she wanted a new one from Santa.  But she didn't understand that Santa brings it on Christmas Eve.  She was so upset because she asked for it when she sat on his lap and he only gave her candy!  We had to explain that she still might get it, but Santa had to go and make it at his workshop.  My parents also did the 12 days of Christmas for the kids again.  The "elves" brought them presents each night and this helped them to be good until Christmas.  They both loved having a present on the porch.  Seth would stand at the door and yell "present" until the elves came!

Thanksgiving at the cabin

We went up to the cabin for Thanksgiving this year.  The kids loved it and we had tons of fun!  We went up Wednesday and came home Friday afternoon.  We had a lot of dutch oven food.  Will was able to use his new dutch oven that he got.  There wasn't too much snow this time, so the adults were able to chop down trees while I took the kids sledding.  It was a nice, relaxing weekend.

Alice in Wonderland and Thor

For Halloween, Ruby was Alice and Seth was Thor.  They were so cute!!! Will made Seth's Thor hammer and it was awesome.  Ruby was really into Halloween and dressing up this year. She was so cute with Seth.  On the way to trick or treating she said to Seth, "Thor do you think I look beautiful." She kept calling him Thor instead of Seth :) My parents also had their annual grandparent party.  The grandkids had a parade and then they got to sleep over and have tons of fun.  Seth won't get to sleep over until next year, but he got to stay and play games for a little bit.  We went to my parent's trunk or treat on Saturday and then Will's parent's trunk or treat on Halloween.  Both kids loved getting free candy!  We also went to Cornbelly's with our friends Dean, Audrey and Porter in October.
